Marriage Investors offers a wide range of resources here on the internet. Successful intimate partner relationships require nurturing and attention. There are no quick fixes or fast track methods to long-term relationship satisfaction and happiness. Most strategies for enhancing your relationship require repetition and practice over time. The following fact sheets address six areas of couple relationship challenges. The information in the fact sheets is based on research by prominent marriage and couple researchers such as John Gottman, Sue Johnson, and Howard Markman. Our Resource Library carries a great selection of materials for helping you with romance, parenting, and marriage. In addition to our Resource Library, Marriage Investors offers community presentations, public awareness, information, phone assistance, and community resources through a variety of faith-based organizations, social service, and counseling agencies. Counseling resources are available for premarital preparation, marriage counseling, marriage re-building and parenting issues. Couple Conflict Consultant – The Couple Conflict Consultant at is a free internet program that helps couples build skills in conflict resolution. Couples assess 14 important areas of conflict using instruments that have been tested and validated in research studies with thousands of participants. Couples receive personalized feedback, set individual goals, and have access to an extensive resource bank of information and advice. The program teaches couples about their underlying concerns, emotions, communication styles, and thinking patterns. Funded by a grant from Baylor University, the program is offered free of charge as part of a research study conducted by Dr. Kevin Sanford. We offer links to other web sites that can help you. |
